CALL FOR ESSAYS: “Where have you been all my life?”
Everyone around you obsessed over a particular book, or movie, or author, or painter, or musician (etc) in high school or college, say, but for whatever reason, you didn’t experience the inspiration until much later. Bloom is seeking personal essays about your later-in-life discovery of an artist, author, book, etc. What does it “mean” to connect with an inspirational creative work later in life instead of earlier? Is there regret? Does it make you think back on who you were and who you’ve become? How so? What were the circumstances in which you did finally connect?
